The parry system still has a long way to go to become as fleshed-out and skillful as in 3rd Strike and the roster is pretty small, but it's still a fun game to come back to and see the evolution of SFIII

Alex fucking sucks in this game WTF!!!!!!

Yeah its fine. Nothing worth looking back at but its cool to see SF3 at an early stage. The music is good, and the stages look great too. Presentation only gets better from here, but the game is fine. Unfinished.

Solid Game, definetly interesting to see how Street Fighter 3 began

How did they make the greatest fighting game ever out of THIS 😭

Kind of insane how we went from this to Third Strike. Love the sprite work, but this is probably the worst iteration of SFIII.

Only Street Fighter game that doesn't get a 4 or 5 star rating from me and I don't even remember this being popular when it came out, I mean yeah new characters are a good thing but not the whole roster with only 2 returning characters 3rd strike brought some more back but still not very many.

The way people talk down on this game on here like it went out of its way to ruin their experience is nuts, unless you're complaining about the unrefined mechanics introduced here most complaints are nitpicks considering this is only the first rendition of SF3

While the gameplay is admittedly rough, it is really cool to see how just a few (ok, maybe more than a few) tweaks led to the masterpiece that is 3rd Strike. And although the urban atmosphere of 3S isn't really present here, it's still a really pretty game with some solid tracks to boot. Gill's voice is really goofy too idk why he kind of sounds like this guy

This game is pretty basic to be honest, it has scenarios that look unfinished and etc, but the OST is cool, and if the cast in this game wasn't mediocre, I'd give it a higher rating, and besides, there's no real reason to play that version when there's 3rd Strike.

Muito difícil de ganhar do Gill do Vigor

i've forced to play with Alex so now I can handle being a grappler better

I cannot emphasize how good the 2d art looks. It still looks better than most 2D projects coming out today. Couple that with an awesome fighting engine and you got something good.

Was very surprised by how small the roster was for this one initially. I know its a staple for SF games to build up the roster through ports but somehow I wasn't expecting it to be this tiny. It's nice to see how they build up from here.

Also fuck Gil.

New Generation gets all the praise I gave 2nd Impact for leading up to a better game but none of the praise I gave it on its own merits. New Generation is baaaad. At least the sprites are pretty.

A pretty divisive SF game, but for good reason.

To start with the good the sprite work for this game is pretty damn good and gameplay wise I do like it, but in terms of the roster it suffers quite a bit.

Judging from the title it sounds like they were maybe thinking of going down the succession route which coming off one of the most most iconic fighting games of all time is in my opinion a bad move, which even then they didn't fill commit to and some characters feel like older characters redone.

I played as Elena.

Passing from SF II and Alpha 1 to this never felt so satisfying.

this feels like a prototype, and it was a full released game LOL.

I totally get and have read about the development history this game had, and how that affected all versions, which makes all balance decisions make sense as to why they are like that.
I see the heart they put into this even with the little experience they had, but despite everything, this version is indefensible
