This had potential and had some neat ideas, but it kind of just amounts to nothing and feels rushed not only in concept, but visually as well.
Characters have very dead eyed faces a lot of the time which makes me feel like they didn’t get much time to polish things. The frankly awful script and sub par acting really brings it down as well. With this being from the studio who created Until Dawn, and the first game in a similar vein to come after it, it had big shoes to fill and just ends up flopping around like a fish. It’s one of those games that’s so bad, it’s actually a great one to pick out and play with others.
I know it’s terrible but I will never not laugh at the end where Julia so fucking abruptly suffers from The Bends and keels over dead in the last 2 minutes as her boyfriend panics and the rest of the group sit watching her convulse on the ground with blank stares not saying a word as the screen fades to black, ending the game.
Fucking incredible. What a mess.

Fantastic franchise after Until Dawn. A very short terrifying game, however you don't always get the best clues to what decisions you should make. This can be frustrating, as well as the fact that the plot plays its' cards way too early that made the story underwhelming but it is still fun and interesting as well. Controls are a bit clunky and it could be better.
Pros:
Collectibles are interesting
PS5 version running on performance mode look fantastic
Dark Pictures theming is good
Instant load times
50/50:
Length was fine for me however may be too short for some
I didn't mind the story however can see why a lot of people didn't like it
Cons:
Multiplayer locked collectibles and trophies really ruin the replay value as most people will never have a partner to get 100%
Overall: 3/5

Was honestly really fun almost the whole way through, but couldn't see myself playing this alone at all. The writing was consistently bad throughout and the ending especially (at least the one we got) was horrible. Literally nothing happens, they just leave? sure man
Also we managed to save every character and it didn't seem that hard, honestly the only point I thought we might lose one of them was at the end
Acting was also mostly bad (Fliss..)
Couch co-op mode carries this and these sort of games hard

-The game has a decent start.
-Graphic and cinematics were one of the reasons i kept playing. Even walking down the corridors was cinematic.
-I couldn't help but wondering, what is going to happen.
-Choices were interesting.
I liked the characters a lot, that's why i felt so guilty about some of my choices at the end of the game.
It got really exciting after a while.
Overall, it was a good Experience. i finished it in one night. cause according to "how long to beat", the game is 4 to 5 hours long.

Such a HUGE letdown after playing Until Dawn. The story of the game had such high potential, because it's generally interesting. The gameplay is bad, like very bad. The cutscenes are so bad, it's funny watching them and the visuals are not good. Some scenes are buggy, the voiceacting is bad and the decisions are mostly terrible. Some decisions feel like it will always have the same result. Something like that should'nt happen in a game about decisions. The characters feel lifeless, no one has characterdevelopment except Connor. The antagonists are just there, they have no good reason to be bad. Most of the time you won't even see them. I've played this game for 60 hours and have pretty much every outcome. It would've been nice to skip some scenes, if you consider replaying it so many times. The only reason I rated this game so highly is because I've played it with a good friend and we laughed our asses off, after hearing the voicelines and seeing the bugs happening in this game. I would not recommend playing it more than 1 or 2 times (2nd playthrough theatrical version).

‣ 7/10 – Fishermen kidnap some tourists and get high together.
‣ Thoughts: Man of Medan was on my radar for a while now. Honestly, I’ve been interested in these style games ever since Until Dawn. However, I don’t think this game lives up to what Until Dawn was. Even though I still consider this to be a fun experience, especially if you play it with a friend. Man of Medan is definitely a well-done cooperative experience with some diffracting game paths. The graphics here are stunning and impressive to look at. Sadly though, this is a very short game and felt more like a movie than an actual game. There was little to do gameplay wise, besides walking, pressing quick time event prompts and picking dialogue options. At the very least Until dawn had more gameplay options here and there, even some puzzles if I remember correctly. Finally, I think the story here is weak. I did enjoy the characters and, in some ways, cared to save their lives, however, there were no real threats or monsters that hunted you across the journey. Don’t get me wrong, there were areas where a bad decision lead to someone’s death, but I’m trying to say that the stakes were not as high as Until Dawn’s were. Overall, the game is like I said a fun experience, but the story won’t impress you and the game’s length might shock you. Get it on a discount.
