Rebirth does everything better than its precursor. Staring with writting factors, story is more interesting and more extensive, it adds more elements and layers to the plot. Narration and themes are absolutely phenomenal, Main cast is I think the best I've seen in gaming, antagonists are pretty good, many new interesting characters appear, character development is great. Soundtrack is obviously fantastic but we are already used to it when it comes to playing ff games. Combat is upgraded via new feature- Syngery Abilities and Synergy Skills, new weapons and new movesets were brought aswell as minor changes to characters basic skills. Builds are also better because of new materia, team choose option that makes us rotate materia between our characters, new upgrade tree and character combos. Coming up with free roaming was a great idea, I like to clear maps so I had fun doing this, every area is different and has a different transport system, different enemies and items (btw they even added crafting, wow) but I have to admit it was lowkey repetetive at the end. There are so many side activities in this game, I think from AAA games only Yakuza has better mini games than FF7 Rebirth.
Okay so what I didn't like is the affection system. First of all its not precise enough, yes they largely upgraded it when set side by side with the previous game but still I works weird. For some reason side questes are the most profitable option to rise affection so If I wanna romance Tifa for example I'd have to skip Aerith side quests. At least that's what the game tells you because at the end of the game I had max affectoin level for Tifa, Aerith, Red and I think Yuffie but still ended up with Tifa + intimate ending, probably because I was choosing her in dialogs but still afection system told me something else.
That mechanic isn't really important though cause you can replay date's after finishing the game.
There are minor elements in the game which I didn't like but they are so insignificant that I don't think they are worth mentioning.

haven't played but just showing it's absolutely shameful and atrocious what they did, microtransactions is what is gonna kill the gaming industry..+ optimalization problems.

Final Fantasy VII Remake was my second game of Final Fantasy series, so I knew what to expect and had some basic knowledge about the verse. Final Fantasy VII remake is parted in to 3 parts that cover the original FF7, and this is the first game of that remake. Most important themes of Final Fantasy games is fighting the fate and saving the planet by being ecological. Plot of this game is centers around Cloud who is a merchant hired by the group of eco warriors called ,,Avalanche". Their goal is to destroy all of the maco rectors responsible for sucking the planet dry from its essence- mako. Shinra is the company in charge of the city where this game takes place but the main villain is Sephiroth. He is an enigmatic character whos relation with Cloud is mysterious. Ultimate goal is to battle the fate, defeat Sephiroth and finally save the planet. Story is plentiful of many deep themes and interesting worldbuilding aswell as charismatic side characters. Speaking of characters, main cast of this game is probably the best I have ever seen. Cloud is such a well rounded character and his dynamics with every each one of the crew is phenomenal. We can interact with who Cloud prefers and develop our relationship with our buddies. Although I hate the fact that we can't look up stats for how much a certain character likes us. So the main crew contains of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith and Barret, each one of them has its own arc that carves them into great characters. Moving to the gameplay, combat system is something that sticks out, I love it so much. Its dynamic-tactical type of combat, where you can opperate 3 characters to fight. There is so many ways you can build your squad, it feels really elastic. Mobs are done pretty good aswell, having their own weaknesses and not being recycled to much. Bosses are also cool designed but sometimes bossfights seem very long. What I personally didnt like about the gameplay is the fact that skipping side quests for a certain character helps with building the relationship. I understand this solution however I am type of person to clear the game so I don't like it.
Soundtracks and sound design in this game are absolutely wonderful, you can close ur eyes and tell what's going on, that's how good it is. Soundtracks make so much atmosphere and fit perfectly into every scene its just gorgeous. You can search for some OSTs scattered across the map, unlocking them allows you to play them in the jukebox. Graphics are obviously phenomenal, especially cutscenes. I played on performence mode and still graphics made good impression on me. Side activities could be better tbh, because I undestand that they are literally "Odd Jobs" but it's just so boring to look for the 3 cats in a big town with loads of NPCs..Mini games tho were cool, mostly focused on quick time events but I liked them, especially squats and darts.

TLDR:
Final Fantasy VII remake is a game with an absolute great story with wide emotional layers, the best main cast I have ever seen, phenomenal soundtrack and combat system. Side activities and free roaming could have been better and besides that I have couple of little personal issues that doesn't really matter that much.

Btw I wanted to add that chapter 9 of this game is the funniest experience I have ever had in gaming and such a cool way to shift the vibe of current situation.
