The definitive Naughty Dog experience. The game that defined a generation and started the trend of narrative driven single player games. Everyone still remembers the train segment.

I wasn't as invested in the Story like in the first game but it was still good. What made this game lots of fun was the multiplayer imo escpecially the Ice Fortress Map. We had lots of good Duels with a friend. Rocket Launcher only

Uncharted 2 is a step up from the first game in nearly every way. The now established characters are able to be pushed harder along with the introduction of brand new characters. The environments had a lot more variety which helps makes the combat encounters not just feel like the same battle over and over again. The pacing in this game is also really well done, there aren't really that many points when I'm just straight-up bored.
Although this game fixed a lot of my issues with the first game I still have the system issues of this being a "cinematic" game, which isn't inherently bad but It's something I haven't really seen been done right. Pretty setpieces are cool to look at, I just wish the gameplay during those moments was more interesting.

Combat is so much better than the first game.
This was my favorite game ever made for a period of time but I've softened in recent years. Not much more can be said that hasn't already. Undeniably the best Uncharted hands down and it's not even close.

The perfect Uncharted game. Among Thieves is a masterpiece, and was the reason I returned to PlayStation after spending most of the generation with Xbox.
Uncharted 2 takes everything the first game did right and turns them up to 11, while adding an incredible amount of variety both in terms of gameplay and visuals, and also in my opinion offers the best story in the whole franchise.

Uncharted 2 has much more impressive levels than 1 (the perfect opening sequence and the incredibly cool sequence fighting through a train immediately spring to mind).

I’m still a little confused as to why the first game was such a smash hit, but I’m glad it was because Among Thieves is just so damn good. Having just wrapped up the Nathan Drake Collection and collecting my thoughts on the PS3 trilogy before I jump into the end of the series with 4 and Lost Legacy, I don’t know how this can be topped within its franchise. It feels like everything an Uncharted game should be.

unlike uncharted 1, this is a good video game.
The train sequence blew my mind. It showed me how engaging single-player narrative and character driven games could be, and saved me from my crippling mw2 addiction.
Crushing mode is BRUTAL
One of the best paced games I've ever played. Everything is so much better than the first Uncharted here, and without changing its fundamentals. It constantly puts you in different circumstances that change up how you fight and navigate, making it so fun and memorable. Sometimes it does slip into the habits of the game before it, but not very often.
Best out of the first 3 imo. Multiplayer was amazing and maps were so good. I think it played much better than U3’s MP. Story was on par with U3 but I think it’s slightly better

pretty much a general tweak up of the first game with some different story flavors but still cheesy. an overall improvement but still nothing insane other than what i would imagine being really strong visuals for the ps3
Another sequel that will improve on many aspects of the previous game. But the mix is just so good in this one(shooting, exploring, riddle solving), the level design did a huge jump forward - especially the train level. Only negativ I feel like the last hours drag a little. Chloe is a fine addition, and the hunt for Marco Polo's missing ship is a fantastic journey. The best in the series which can hold up to any 3rd person shooter.
Really better than the first one. Like by a lot. But still imo the combat is very janky, the platforming is uninteresting. But I guess the story is good this time around, and the game is beautiful for its age

And the journey continues. Uncharted 2 sees the biggest leap in quality between the trilogy games. With amazing cinematic set pieces and new characters such as Chloe, this game takes what we loved about the original and cranks it up to 11. Rating: 7.5/10
