I beat 64 and Sunshine around the launch of this collection, but some part of me wanted to wait on Galaxy. It’s the game I have the biggest connection to so I wanted to wait until the time was right. That ended up culminating over this past week. I very rarely replay games so that is a personal feat on its own. Despite being a Wii game and just being a remaster, it was phenomenal. This collection took me back to my childhood and I’m very thankful it exists.
I only bought this because of the QVC coupon and it was honestly incredible. I grew up with the DS titles but never got around to this one. Very fun and easy to get into minus some annoying control issues. Movement isn’t as tight as I’ve come to expect from Switch-era Mario, but that didn’t ruin the game for me. Levels are simple but some took me a few tries, especially when attempting to go flawless against DK. With all of these recent remakes, my hope is that they don’t stop here. Would absolutely love to see a brand new game in this style down the line.
