AlphadoX finished The Forest
If you have friends to play with, you can have a pleasant time. Otherwise, it can become quite challenging and often boring. The inventory and crafting system is fun and the survival elements are relatively simple. The optimization is not very good even though the game is old. The graphics and lighting are at a decent level compared to when it was released. The story doesn't tell much and isn't very great. As a result, Forest is an average survival game and a game that you can have a fun time playing with your friends. (I finished the game in about 4 hours, but I played it with a friend who knows the game. It would be better to have someone experienced with you)

AlphadoX finished Manor Lords
It is currently in early access, but it manages to distinguish itself from other medieval simulation games of the same type with what it promises and some of the features it brings. The fact that the game was developed by a single person is also one of the elements that should be appreciated. But for now, it would be more beneficial to wait until the game is fully released and play and examine it with all its potential.

AlphadoX reviewed Red Dead Online
I wish they would have spent some of the same dedication to the online game as they did to the story mode of the game. While Red Dead Online has a large and detailed open world and a lot of potential content (and even some additional features that are not even in the story mode), there has been a huge loss of potential. In addition to annoying players who randomly kill you, if you don't have friends to play with, you should definitely stay away. The online story is divided according to the roles you can do online, and if you want to experience the whole story, you will have to grind very hard, because if you want to continue the story, you need to buy the necessary things for the role with gold, and it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to earn gold online. I mean, I bet Rockstar designed it this way on purpose, so you can access it easily by purchasing gold instead of having to bother online and save yourself hours of grinding. In conclusion, while Red Dead Online has some fun story missions, it has very limited content and can easily become boring. If you play with your friends, you can have fun in roles such as bounty hunting, which was the most fun and the role we spent the most time in compared to other roles. However, if you want to finish the story of the game alone or with your friends without paying for gold, a long grinding time awaits you.

AlphadoX reviewed Senua's Saga: Hellblade II
Hell, it might be the best-looking yet most hollow game of 2024. The first game was a short and okay experience filled with puzzles that told you about Psychosis and had a pretty average story. I was seriously wondering what they would do with the second game, which came years later, because Hellblade did not seem like the kind of series that could be made into a sequel. And I was right when I said it. The story is so monotonous and uninteresting that I fell asleep in many parts. Even though the combat part has been enriched with more animations, it is basically the same. I would at least expect different mechanics to come. The puzzle parts are like the first game, but they are relatively easier and less complicated, so they do not overwhelm the player in the already boring game. Another point I will mention in the game is the character faces and facial expressions, I can say that a very successful job has been done. One of the games with the most realistic character expressions I've seen so far. As a result, Hellblade 2, although it is a walking simulation game, seems like a production that has chosen to be a technology demo even though it has the capacity to do much more. Ninja Theory has surpassed themselves in terms of graphics, lighting and mocap, but there are other issues they need to focus on, such as the sequences and mechanics that we are really in control of and that make the gameplay enjoyable :P

AlphadoX finished Animal Well
Animal Well is a game that has been developed by a single person for almost 7 years and a tremendous job has been done. The game, which is basically a Metroidvania genre but based on puzzles rather than combat, offers a great experience with many different and creative puzzle sequences and sometimes scary parts. It offers you an experience that you cannot see in other metroidvanias, with cleverly designed shortcuts, puzzles and many different and wonderfully thought-out equipment that you will use. From its Zelda-like Equipment window to its CRT-style scanlines, it successfully gives you the feeling of playing an NES game. Some effects (such as explosions, smoke or firecrackers) are designed in a more realistic way compared to the pixelart style of the game, which gives the impression of playing a NES game blended with the new generation and definitely adds a unique atmosphere to the game. There are 5 bosses you will encounter in the game and you need to use different types of tactics to defeat them all. It also has a very large map and you need to collect all the collectible eggs to reach the real end of the game. A great job has been done with the music as well, and there are many styles of music for many levels. As a result, Animal Well has accomplished a lot with the limited equipment and mechanics in the game and has become a great metroidvania puzzle game. It will definitely be a strong candidate for the best indie games of this year. If you are on Playstation, you can play from Plus right now. I definitely recommend you try it.
