The devs clearly had a goal in mind. "Ok we want to make Ace Combat, but let's make sure the targeting/changing targets just doesn't work. Also let's make the fluff HUD elements distracting to the point of necessitating their removal in the options."

Great on rails shooting action with serious depth to get better on repeat playthroughs. Initially dissapointed to see how short the game was until I saw that it contained tons of side content. Plus having a port of the first Panzer is incredible.

Unironically better than Phantom Pain

So-so action game that proves than an excellent ending will bump up your game a couple notches

Obviously good mechanics, but the moment I was forced to replay older missions on hard mode I dropped the game. Gets a higher rating because the concept of it giving me a Phantom Pain through disliking the game is neat
