That ending was just HORRENDOUS. There's no purpouse on killing Diego other than showing YET AGAIN uuuuhh Anton is such a villain wooow wuuuw wowowowoow. The country is left in shambles and good thing I didnt kill McKay bc otherwise I'd think Yara is doomed to its own extinction with the Libertad mess in charge.
Most of the villains have 0 personality. I liked McKay, he was fun at least, the others were totally forgetable and did nothing other than being eViL. They could have done something with Maria Marquessa, her death on live TV really left a bad taste in my mouth, it was really bad executed.
Most allies were boring or straight up cringe. I liked La Moral, but it was painful to see how everyone downplayed them when they were the most organised group of them all.
Idk, there's a lot of things to complain abouth this game. Dani was a good MC i'll give it that.

This was the only Layton I had left to play, I didnt like the 3ds models at the time it released and totally forgot about it until a few days, it was really nice going back into the series after so long, so I may be a little bias.
I really liked the story, the tension and mistrust between some of the characters is really well written and the puzzles were great. The OST is amazing and I really love the city of Montedore.
The game has its flaws; chapter 6 is a 2-hour loop of the same puzzles over and over again, and you must go through it with the most annoying, nerd emoji, unbearable character i've ever seen in this series. Some of the mysteries are also quite obvious.
Great game overall tho

Avoid this game if you like this series, since its by far the worst one so far.
Katrielle does a poor job at following his father's legacy and ends up being a really bland and forgetable character. For someone who claims that will solve all of London's mysteries, its quite curious how she doesnt even bat an eye to the sight of a talking dog, or how the main mystery of the game, Layton's disappearance, is quickly overtaken by short, boring and predictable mysteries that no one cares about. The expectations may be the biggest problem of this game, just reading the premise and playing the prologue, you get certain ideas of what the game will be about, only for those to be proven wrong and go into a totally different direction shortly after.
Aside from the story being really bad, the puzzles are quitte horrendous, not really creative and I felt most of them were trial and error rather than a way to exercise your brain and enjoy your sweet time thinking about how to solve them. In other Layton games, I felt rewarded after solving a puzzle I spent a lot of thinking on. Cant say that feeling ever showed up while playing Katrielle.
We can only hope next game will be better than this; which, tbh, its not really hard.

HSR is a great game with a good story, cool characters (some of them really well written) and decent gameplay mechanics.
However, the gacha and episodic updates really ruins the game. Only getting crumbs of the story every 40 days made me totally disconnect from the story in general, sometimes the updates only give you 10 minutes of the mainline story which doesnt help.
Would be an awesome game if it was fully released from the start.
