I consider Nier Automata to be my favorite video game of all time, not because I think it has universal appeal and is perfected game design that is infinitely replayable (at least, not for everybody.), but for personal reasons. The messaging, story, lore, characters, music, gameplay, everything about this game aligns perfectly to check every single box for a game that I specifically would fall in love with.
To quote that one horror manga: "This is my hole! It was made for me!"

Tetris as a whole is one of the greatest video games out there, but not every tetris game is created equally. Tetris DS felt like a turning point for the franchise forr me, where we left the Classic Tetris era started by the original gameboy release, and entered into what can now be considered the Modern Tetris Era.
Basically what Im saying is is that Puyo Puyo Tetris' Tetris mode wouldnt be as fun as it is without the QoL improvements brought to us by Tetris DS

Minceraft
Back when i first played this during the alpha (specifically when the nether was first added), what sold me on the concept of minecraft was this idea that it stimulated creativity in the same way lego does. After many years and many updates, I think that all in all this is fair assessment of the effects of minecraft

Genuinely one of the greatest video games I have ever had the pleasure to play, literally endlessly replayable, exquisitely entertaining primary gameplay loop, accessible controls enabling mouse + keyboard and controller to be equally viable, all around Enter the Gungeon is peak video gaming

I have exclusively played Bridget but also its fun to mess around in CPU matches and play casual matches against friends
