Such a heartfelt and emotional story. Cried during multiple parts. Hugo and Amicia are amazing characters that deserve more recognition. Both of them have some amazing voice actors. Amicia is one of my favorite heroines and the lengths she’ll go for her brother knows no bounds. Haven’t felt this much of an emotional gut punch since RDR2 and Last of Us 2. So much has been improved upon in Requiem after Innocence. The gamplay, puzzling, story, graphics, art direction, etc. This game is a technological marvel with what they’ve been able to do with the rats especially and the graphics are amazing. La Cuna especially is an incredibly beautiful area. The game balances graphic and horrific content with parts of beauty and love. I love the improvements to Amicia’s skill set and what all she can do. The combat is a lot more fun in Requiem. The soundtrack is as amazing as the first game. Overall such an incredible experience. As someone with bad chronic health issues and a mom with them as well, Hugo’s illness and Amicia’s reactions to it hit me like a truck

Insanely fun multiplayer game that feels like a breath of fresh air in the shooter space with its "game show" match format and insane amounts of interactivity that give a very "divergent gameplay" vibe to the experience. Being able to throw explosives and blow up buildings and spawn walls and turrets and have all these things react in real time in a multiplayer game lends itself to some really unique gameplay moments.

However, The Finals also has lifeless AI announcers and the aesthetic of a wet rag, so while I might remember my novel experiences with the gameplay, I doubt a single piece of its style will stick with me for the long run - which means it's only a matter of time before someone else does it better.

This game has a lot of game to it. Too much sometimes, but it does make your brain go brrrt a bunch.

on christmas of 2019 i almost broke my xbox over this game, i own this game on both consoles, perfect to its core, it is completely and undoubtedly the goat of fromsoft games, combat games and my games, my favortie game OF ALL TIME BRAH GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAT

really interesting game that I didn't personally vibe with all that much, but it did surprise me a handful of times in pleasant ways.

>Playing Deep Rock Galactic
>Walk up to dwarf
>Yell "rock and stone"
>He yells "rock and stone"

it's the little things lads

a serviceable soulslike with fun, fast-paced combat, a handful of interesting ideas, and a cool aesthetic. with that said, it tries to do a bit too much, overcomplicating and padding out what could have been a short and sweet experience, and it falls short in key areas, like level design. it also has some jankiness in regards to hitboxes and the consistency of certain moves, which can make losing infuriating at times.

Like an edgy early newgrounds flash game with better animation and pixel art, worse gameplay and without a sense of humor.

The main appeal of the game is the wet, gory, fleshy visual design of the main creature, and its effects and abilities. However the labratory the game takes place in is aggressively generic, the people you encounter, the places you encounter them in, it's all just boring and samey.

The gameplay is fun at first, but I don't like the way some encounters are suited better for stealth and some for wild flailing, I wish they just stuck with one style of gameplay and kept ramping it up and designing all the encounters around it.

The game is for some reason is a metroid-vania, despite the fact that going to old areas is completely pointless, and the game has to be played in a linear order anyway. This should have taken the approach of the vastly superior and sexier Ape Out, which is basically this game but better in every single conceivable way.

I got absolutely nothing from the story of this game. Literally no part of this game's story grabbed my attention or entertained me in any way whatsoever. It's quite impressive really. I'm usually very easily pleased.

Honestly the only enjoyable aspect to this game is the pixel art and animation, which is admittedly really gross and cool.

Also they should have given the monster a voice, maybe like a Morgan Freeman type narration where he just talks about how hungry he is. That would be funny I think.

It's bloated, chaotic, and it honest to god gave me a headache at one point. I loved it.

more case of the golden idol is more than alright with me
