After the journey that was Dark Souls I and Dark Souls III back to back, I told myself I'd take a break from the series for YEARS, low and behold only days later I had that itch and wanted to play the 'black sheep' of the franchise.
My favourite story of the series wrapped up in a decent experience that had me on the verge of snapping my controller in half is quite strange isn't it? Alas, it's actually fun at times but some god awful decisions stop it from being truly terrific.
Terrific art direction, beautiful soundtrack, an actual comprehensible story from start to finish, dragged down by horrible movement, gankfests, and some truly horrible bosses make it hard to rank.
It wasn't my favorite in the series but that does not stop it from being an experience I'll never forget, for better or for worse.
