absolutely bullshit in the best way possible it is insanely satisfying to win these missions with nothing but a few remaining scraps of your AC

Project Phantasma introduced the Arena but this game truly broke the mechanic into the series it is amazingly tied to the story and has some of my favorite boss fights in video game history

as much as i love the above entries this is when the series REALLY started to click with me with its amazing soundtrack and amazing missions if you're gonna start with Armored Core i highly suggest this one

the big as fuck levels in this game are so awesome it makes every mission feel like a war and you're the only participant for your side

losing large amounts of cash every mission if you equip bullet weapons its just a really solid entry

basically an hd version of AC1 with better level design and also surprisingly difficult

astounding that this still holds up after 20+ years it plays super well and is only held back by its labyrinth like level design

pretty good entry held back by the overtuned heat system its way too easy to overheat in this game

i get what they were going for this really is the ultimate Armored Core going by missions and i can see why some hold it in high regard but i just wasn't a fan

horrendous damage values and a rock paper scissors system that goes against practically everything the series stood for up until this point

the basis of it being a sequel and fixing nothing wrong with 5 is what puts it at the bottom basically trash vs garbage
