I just came fresh off 2.3's MSQs so apologies if this isn't the most well articulated reply though I can't find myself NOT agreeing with most of it. I don't find the push for Trailblazer x Firefly as "fanatic" like most people I'm seeing but I still can't help but feel Firefly was used as a plot device and even that felt safe because they're afraid if their marketable anime girl died an actual death, their profits would plummet. I think it's a little ridiculous how many plot points or loose ends were either rushed or reduced to gags too. Even without mentioning Sparkle, going back to 2.1 with Boothill's call with Black Swan, I thought he would've played a bigger role on his hunt for Acheron but just ended up being there using his built-in censor until he gets an exposition with Aventurine at the end of 2.2. People gave that patch flack for being "too wordy" but I genuinely preferred it over an epilogue that reads like a last minute assignment where the premise can be summarised as "Oh yeah I forgot those characters existed.".
