Games where you start with a lot of shit but then they take it away
Always gotta let you know what you got before you lose it, huh. I love when games do this, and I feel a good variety of them do it in different ways, so why not make a list.

Classic you start powerful only to be forced to start all from the beginning when your weapons get taken away.
Kratos loses God powers.
Your fat princely wallet gets smaller cause you NEED to take that boat to catch up to your boyfri- I mean childhood friend and rival, Prince Richard. Though you still get to keep a million of your bucks... for now.
Starting with original powers gained from BOTW shown being removed at beginning of TOTK after running around a little bit.
Gives you a large amount of money before Robin takes the majority as payment for building you a yard/bridges/etc on your farm. This isn't in base Stardew Valley.

Oh same with Digimon World Next Order. You have fully evolved mons in the intro cutscene just to get insta bodied and turn back into eggs.
