A ranked list of all the Tales Series games I've finished.

Fantastic, best game in the series. Luke best protagonist. "Oh but he's annoying and a huge jerk!" yeah and that stops like a 3rd of the way through and he sorts his shit out and it's one of the best and most meaningful characters arcs there is especially with later revelations about his origins.

Also fantastic! Only issue is a ton of the subquests are Modern Game Syndrom filler bullshit, made up for by the ones that aren't and the great characters, antagonist, and plot. It took me 100 hours to finish w/all side quests and it coulda been like 75 but whatever! It's so fuckin' good dude!

I think my review sums it up, I'm not AS hot as I was on this over a decade ago but I still love it to pieces. Wouldn't recommend it as a first game though.

Also really great! The plot definitely runs out of steam in the last 4th, with the game's actual finale taking place after the climax and during the falling action for some reason, but other than that it's so great man.

Also really great but mostly due to nostalgia, that's true for everyone but I also don't think it's the best or only good one and tout it as "the one people should play."

Great! Definitely play this if you liked any of the other Tales games! Cast of very fun and endearing characters, a lot of fun scenes, a really cool setting, and a take on the combat system that I actually like unlike most people.

7 is probably too high for this, but I did think it was at least good overall. Mostly like this because I just like these games.

Better than Vesperia but in retrospect it's just okay. Still like it because I just like these games.

6/10 is probably too high, but it's okay. This has the same problem as Symphonia where people tout it as "the one you should play" but no, unless you like character arcs, themes, and plot points being abandoned for "and then everyone put aside their differences and worked together :)".

Bad. Just totally pointless waste of time sequel that gets several characters wrong and never really goes anywhere.

Bad. Completely underdeveloped everything, cool but not good first attempt. Shoulda played the PS1 version or something too.
