The real 2024 GOTY for me.
Fast-FPS with a lot of quality, fun, addictive and very good 90's reference from Megazone 23 and some Japanimation stuff.
The biggest Mullet Mad Jack inspiration is Post Void, another gem you can get on Steam.

Played on the Aleste Collection.
The gameplay is a great improvement from the first GG Aleste, and with the Collection, you can set up your invincibility frame, auto bomb, and some setting.
The soundtrack is amazing too, especially the credit one (and i love a lot the CG from the credit too), perfect gameplay balance, and the difficulty is perfect too.
Best Aleste atm for me.

Very good game, one of the best SHMUP on the Famicom for me.
Solid soundtrack, nice gameplay, powerfull weapons.
The stages are great to go through, each one full of ideas like the last stage with enemy ships that can merge. I really enjoyed playing this game, especially since it is fluid and only lags on very rare occasions, a rather exceptional fact which takes full advantage of the console's capabilities and manages not to really lag, it's quite incredible.

I enjoyed my experience with this game, but I have to deduct a star. Because basically, I wanted to give it 4 stars, because even if the concept is obvious, the game is full of good ideas.
However, putting invisible platforms and collisions in elements of the scenery to be able to cling to hidden elements is completely ridiculous.

My experience was quite disappointing.
If the gameplay is pleasant with the different powers (but just 2), it is limited. The AI is quite buggy, the boss pattern is ridiculous, everything is easily predictable, and a very repetitive bestiary.
I won't criticize the fact that there are only 5 stages because it was, and still is, a norm in this kind of game, but we can feel that this game uses the minimum budget scrict.

(Just played the demo)
Tested during the Steam FPS Fest, this game is quickly addictive and really good! Bosses require reflexes and a certain level of gameplay.
I advise you to increase the mouse sensitivity to almost maximum for a much better experience.
