I played the ever-loving crap out of this as a kid. It's not perfect, but it holds up just fine.

okay in all seriousness, Fate is pretty fun even if it's just "Diablo 1 for kids", and still holds up fine even if you're well above the target age group. there's not really any story to go along with it: just grab your sword, crawl that dungeon, grab some loot, and kick the crap out of the boss.
it's pretty simplistic, but it's harmless and just a fun time overall, and sometimes that's all you want out of a game. though the first Fate is pretty solid, the sequel Undiscovered Realms might be a better starting point since it adds so much more onto the base experience.
also worth mentioning the devs would later go on to make Torchlight 1 and 2 if that's any incentive.

One time my dad was biking and he flew off his bike and split his face open. He had to get stitches but, he wasn't allowed to do any physical work for several weeks. He ended up playing this game endlessly and when I would get back from school, he would show me what he was doing and the builds he made. Good times.

When this dropped in my country in 2006 I legit lost control of my life for maybe a complete year. A beast of an rpg, absolutely fun if you know nothing of the developer. If not, it's still stupidly fun and kind hearted rpg with lots of barely functioning mechanics waiting for you to exploit them and overpower your character to the next dimension. Just don't play the remake, it's pretty bad.

the lost chapters is the essential version of fable. the game isnt perfect and there's much, much better RPGs- but im very nostalgic for it and have enjoyed it immensely when i revisited it.

i like gears of war. i like gears of war 2. i dont like gears of war 3! so maybe... it's unexpectedly my personal "gears of war 3: gits terminator blade runner 2049(ending) edition".
BIG BO best character in squad and game is a BIG Banger. and yes, i have a feeling that the yakuza team can do everything good, just give them a chance.
pc port sucks though. ps3 version 'just works' of course and looks surprisingly fine but has problems with framerate(ssao on ps3?? ooof). for me it's not so crucial, probably i have more feeling about big heavy bosses because of it, but it is what it is.
