Absolute Classic. This games ignores the two minute timer in favor for a open approach to the career mode in the form of mission. This single change made this game a winner to me. The pro challenges were also really fun to complete. Great soundtrack, amazing levels and influential to the rest of the series. This game has a special place in my heart
The last truly great Tony Hawk game. This had everything for me: Amazing story, fun levels, great destruction and tight controls. The new additions are also fun. Open maps (unfortunately in the form of long corridors), extra tricks and a buildable park made of Los Angeles landmarks. With a killer soundtrack and enough content, this game is goated. One of the best.
I truly like the concepts that this game brings to the Tony Hawk formula. A new nail-a-trick mode, an huge open map and a fun story. The game itself plays fine. but everything doesn't click right with me. The cutscenes in this game are acted awkwardly, the map is strangely boring (aside from some places) and the nail-a-trick mode is clunky and pretty underutilized. It's alright, but this game unfortunately shows the slow downfall of the franchise
For it being the sequel of my personal favorite Tony Hawk game, it greatly improves on most aspects of THUG 1. The story is zany as hell, with Bam Margera and Tony Hawk embarking on a world tour, destroying everything in sight. The gameplay is probably the tightest in this game. That's why the amazing THUG Pro mod has this game as its base game. While I don't regard this game as high as THUG 1, this is still one of the best skateboarding games of all time
The one that started it all. With a great soundtrack and visual identity, this game was pretty cool back in the day. Playing it nowadays makes its jankiness more apparent. It also excludes many staple features from modern Tony Hawk games (like reverts and manuals). It still is a revolutionary game in it's own right
