Oh yeah, I remember watching that video... Maybe that's why I made the connection. I do think there are pretty unique and memorable aspects about Environmental Station Alpha, but it's mostly optional/cryptic stuff. Anyway, I've thought about playing the sequel to this as it looks pretty interesting, but I probably won't get to it for a good long while.

This game is odd because despite having a ton of sub-par elements and being seen as "Super Metroid at home", it definitely does have some really unique powerups that even the most beloved Castleroids haven't topped. I think somewhere between this and Environmental Station Alpha would be a great Castleroid that captures much of the greatness of Super Metroid while also being very distinct from it.
