This game gets worse the more of a Bomberman fan you are.
Not only is this game a generic Bomberman game without any special twists to make it more exciting, it's also removed plenty of beloved features from games that fans loved. Sure, it has a nice 8 player battle mode but that's it. The story shows Konami has no care about making Bomberman fun rather trying to make Bomberman a marketing vehicle for other Konami characters. The bombers have pretty much as much personality as the artwork for them and don't even want to go on the campaign making things feel annoying.
...but the battle mode's fun... even though pretty much any other Bomberman game has one too...
