Road 96 depicts a grim and brutal reality in a superficial and cartoonish way, it doesn't really work.

The idea of a Rogue/Walking Sim hybrid is novel and interesting I think I got a fairly coherent run throughout but some storylines get repetitive.

The characters you meet are fine for the most part, I guess it depends on the episodes - some are very ridiculous: adults tell you to take the wheel and drive into traffic more than once.

I liked Zoe and Alex the least to a point I cared more about the random same face teenagers you meet on the road than those two annoying youngsters your character is supposed to related with. The game seems to really like Zoe - a character that frequently escalates situations and put her serrounding in danger she'll be immune to. The game then expects you to take a bullet for her, twice. I wasn't a fan.

Visually the game is stunning, though the animation is somewhat lackluster.
I really liked the soundtrack and thought it was used well through the game.

It's an alright experience that goes on a tad to long. It takes six runs to finish the game, I think four runs with adjusted encounters would have been enough. A full run is also not enough to complete all the encounters for some reason? I tried new game + and by the 2nd encounter I got a repeat event and lost interest.

As someone who really disliked The Dark Descent and myriad of hide-and-seek simulators it would go on to inspire, I had very low expectations for this one. However, this bad boy is a real fantastic mix of my two favorite sub-genres (Immersive Sims and Survival Horror), and scratches an itch I didn't know I had (it's on my left arm, a few inches above my thumb).

When this game is good, it's excellent. I just wish recommending it didn't come with a mountain of caveats.

Do urself a favor and do ur first playthrough as a malkavian

cheaper than a tesco meal deal

doing my laundry is also a horror game, so this game was relatable.

Gameplay wise this is genuinely quite awful but I think it is perfect for this thing! Feels weird calling it a game because it feels like it isn't one. All 5 stars are for the characters and the crazy story. And the music. The music is reallly good. Good game can't recommend it

far cry 2 as a whole seeks to use its mechanics to create a punishing and hostile experience for the player. in this, it succeeds. however it doesn't always succeed in immersing the player, as the broken stealth and unfair car chases frequently disengage and discourage the process of developing emergent solutions, and instead just going back to shooting from behind cover and spamming health needles

the godfather if the godfather didnt have a godfather in it and was just a mafia movie about two buds who love each other and kiss

The few actual story missions are pretty decent but all the more arcade like ones inbetween are total dogshit and not worth your time

Like Joe's Adventure, this DLC has a few decent story missions with actual cutscenes smothered in a couple really shitty arcade missions, but unlike Joe's Adventure our new character Jimmy has the charisma of wet toilet paper

If you have to play it with a friend it's funny that way you both suffer

One of the most perfect platformers I've ever played, and my favourite of the genre. It feels a bit weird at first, but stick with it and you have an extremely satisfying platformer with more than enough room for mastery. Thanks to its soothing yet fiery soundtrack, clean visuals, swift restarts and great community replay system, Dustforce cultivates the perfect environment for players looking to master each level. It's an easy ticket into the Flow Zone which once you've tapped into, there's no coming back from.

Has its moments but this one just didn't stick with me like Fatum Betula and Paratopic does
