Always loved about the art and aesthetics of this game. I've tried picking it up here and there over the years but could never just sit down long enough to finish it, mainly do it's clunky gameplay and fairly annoying mission structure.

Only recently have I finally gotten all the way through after having acquired it physically. And now after having given it more time and really learning how to play. I honestly started having a lot of fun playing through it. As I said before the mission structure and certain levels really can bring this game down.
Overall I'm glad I finally can say I've beaten the game I'm such a fan of and did really enjoy my time, but even now I still struggle to recommend this game just due to it's glaring flaws.

Good solid fun all the way through. I played primarily in Co-op and can easily say that it is some of the most fun multiplayer in the entire 2D Mario francise.
There is a lot of cool ideas for levels but some of the coolest "Wonder Effects" got shown in a lot of the trailers so there honestly wasn't as many surprises as I was hoping for.
The game is pretty short which I think both works and doesn't work in the game's favor. This is one of the few side-scrollers I've played however that I can easily see myself replaying, but I think a big part of me feeling that way is because by the time the credits rolled I was really left wanting more.
Overall, a great move for 2D Mario, and to me takes the title for being the best in the series.
