truckloads of ire have been shoveled on top of braid, the pseudointellectual indie-darling of 2008, over the past decade or so, but i find it interesting that this, another game from 2008 that every major game publication was stumbling over to call a genius masterwork, has mostly been met with indifference over the same time frame. a game that had its time in the spotlight and has been all but thoroughly forgotten. now, this is obviously an oversimplification: no figurehead for 2D BOY/Tomorrow Corporation is a pretentious dumbass who loves jordan peterson (at least not to my knowledge), but its still interesting to see what permanently captures our anger and what simply gets ignored. for every braid theres most likely dozens of world of goos.

anyway, the game itself? its fine. its an average puzzle game carried by a strong sense of aesthetics, reminds me a lot making fiends, a short lived nicktoons show that i fucking loved as a kid. musics neat too, has a cool sort of cabaret feel for a lot of it that i like. also something something capitalism bad. surprised this game hasnt reached the youtube essayists by now. my guess is they just dont care enough.

Una vez un sabio dijo "AH AHORA SÍ AHORA LA PAPAYA LA MALDITA CEBOLLA CON PELO ME MATA" y supe que estaba en lo correcto.

It's funny how Sonic Super Stars and Frontiers fill me with nothing, but a Game Maker game from ten years ago makes me rock hard. It's Sonic if he was in a Treasure game, hell yeah.

And IDGAF what anyone says that ending was real as fuck.

Made me want to visit Akihabara, I like beating random people in the street with a Neptunia body pillow (In the game)
