I'd never played Alan Wake before, I heard good things about the sequel, so when Epic had a promotion in which if you bought Alan Wake 2 with a discount you'd also get the first game free I plunged myself into the series really not knowing much, and I'm so glad I did. Let's get the negative out of the way first, the gameplay could've been better at first the idea is quite interesting, and you wonder where they'll take it, sadly it never really gets evolved, you face other types of enemies sure, but they all basically follow the same pattern only they are tankier and can absorb more light or bullets or both, the game never tries for example introducing an enemy in which you have to shine the light at specific places or an enemy that can take cover from your flashlight, and you have to destroy their cover, which does make it kinda dull by the end. Now that that's out of the way, the story is amazing, it legit stands tall all these years later, it's intriguing, bittersweet, and for being a fantastical horror story all of its aspects make sense, you are piecing the mystery together along with Alan, and the pacing and everything feels very natural. High recommendation from me, can't wait to start the sequel.

It's pretty fun, but like any game in early access it needs a lot of work, and depending on the updates it could go up or down, if it keeps this direction it will be an easy 4/5.

No more heroes is an action game that looks formulaic at first glance, but like a lot of suda's titles it hides a lot of depth under the surface.

MGR is one of those games that's just really fun to play, if you look at it with the full context of the Metal Gear saga then the story is pretty bad, since this takes place after MGS4, and that game gave such a definitive ending for Raiden, and it doesn't get even touched upon here, nothing is really said about why he would leave his family to go kill people, if you look at it as a dumb non-canon spin-off then it's nonsensical plot and balls to walls action is pretty fun.

If you want to play gen 1, go play this one. It's not broken like the original, and it also looks quite pretty running on the gen 3 engine.

I mean, it's where it all started, but it's pretty jank, some might say it adds to the magic, I'll say it's broken as shit.

Crystal is quite a solid Pokémon game, not the best way to experience Johto, and it's quite dated by modern standards, but still two regions on a Game Boy and 200+ Pokémon is quite impressive.

Emerald is quite good, the best way to experience Hoenn imo and still holds up quite well.

I love this game. I'll admit I do have nostalgia for it, but it's not blind I do go back and play it every couple of years, and it's just as good as when I first played it.

It's good, but play platinum instead.

Platinum is just gen 4 perfected, if you want to play gen 4 just play platinum, Giratina is also peak legendary and Cynthia is peak champion.

It's just more gen 5 but better, I do think this is the highest point of the series.

The sprites are great, story is amazing not even only for a Pokémon game.

X and Y are the series first dip into 3d, and it's pretty good, not an amazing Pokémon game but not offensive either.
