This would have been a great game if all the fun wouldn’t have been sucked out by frustrating level design and overall gameplay. By the end of it I was exhausted and it almost made me not want to check out the rest of the series.

The first game that made me fall in love with Kirby.

I actually think I enjoy this more as an adult than I did as kid. I’ve been going back and playing some games from my childhood that I didnt really give a chance and before I knew it I sunk three hours into this game and still wanted to play more.

I’m not usually a fan of Metroidvanias but this one was pretty fun.

I loved my time with this game. The gameplay is simple yet addictive and just an overall relaxing atmosphere and story that shows you just how much of a person’s life and character can be defined by what they pack into a box.

This seems to be everyone’s favorite from the original trilogy but after playing them back to back I honestly think I enjoyed the first one more even with all the improvements in the sequel.

Fun gameplay but does feel repetitive after a while. Thankfully the developers seem to really care about the game and the community so I’m very optimistic that they will have future updates with new material.

I wanted to love this game but unfortunately it’s a mixed bag at best. The overall world design is amazing, and I’m a sucker for space operas, but the actual RPG elements and general gameplay miss the mark and doesn’t take long to feel stale. The ending also felt rushed and unsatisfying.

A hilarious love letter to the early days of Metal Gear and a surprising addition to the PlayStation Vita.

Fate’s version of a musou game. Pick a character, read some character interaction, fight tons of enemies. While I usually enjoy musou games, this one just felt barebones and the plot felt like a chore to sit through.

1997

Almost had to beat my little cousin’s ass because he threw my phone across the room after asking if I had games on my phone and I showed him this.

Hands down the best Hulk game. Want to smash stuff? Done. Want to grab and throw people around? Done. Want to pick up cars and tanks and toss them into buildings? Done.

Holds no candle to UFC Undisputed 3 but probably my favorite from EA. Everything feels a little more fluid and the slowmo KO highlights are amazing.

2018

I don’t usually like roguelikes but Hades has a charm and style to it that I can’t help but love.

Super mixed feelings on this way. I did like certain aspects of the game and disliked others. A true mixed bag. Kojima’s character designs are once again top tier and most of the game mechanics are fun. That ending, though…. That almost derailed the entire of game for me.

But let’s get to the elephant in the room. Is this a walking simulator? Pretty much. The game does open up with new combat mechanics and vehicles after chapter 3 but the main point of the game remains making deliveries and that does come down to a lot of walking with very little differences in each delivery.

Overall a solid game that’s a mix of the best and worst of Kojima. I don’t think it’s groundbreaking like some of the other reviews claims it to be, but it is something different and I’m glad I played it.
