Gameplay isn’t perfect, but is a substantial improvement over the first game. It has an amazing artstyle and soundtrack, just like the first game.

Pretty fun, but is held back a lot by the save system and combat.

Hollow Knight is my favorite piece of fiction ever. I don’t have a single major complaint. Gameplay is challenging but fair, and gives the player freedom and doesn’t hold their hand. It has a gorgeous artstyle and the music goes hard as well. Until Silksong, I don’t think Hollow Knight will ever be topped for me.
