probably my opinion is controversial, but this is an over rated roguelite, not a bad game. I would have preferred if it had been a simple story driven game without the illusion of being a roguelite game in the core, there is too much grinding and character progression that goes against the philosophy of roguelikes mechanics. It’s neither RNG or skill based, you just have to grind and unlock shit.
Play Isaac for RNG or Nuclear Throne for skill, these are true roguelite.
Art style is ok, very likeable.
Didn’t care much about story since im not into these mythological stuff and gameplay doesn't encourage enough

still playable online in 2023, you can easily find 8 players full lobby, i heard that servers will close in May 2024. Still fun especially with friends

short sweet game, ideal for playing with everyone thanks to the simply mechanics and the short leght, but man i was so pissed off for the ending, it's a totally unfair exchange... i mean you saved your father that, considering the sanitary conditions, he will die at 50yo old and have to struggle with the death of not only his wife but even his son feeling guilty for that, so this automatically makes Dad the most in-depth character of the game.

EDIT: Ok the fact that Battle League exist isn’t tha only reason for give a perfect score to this game, i’ll give 10 if only i can.
Me and my friends are hardcore-ish party games player and we found maybe the most competitive game for us, after month of playing this every time we meet with a lot of challenge among us makes this game the most fun soccer/party game to play. There some learning curve especially in predicting the opponent’s moves and mastering epic goals.
It makes my chill friend to punch the table, and me.
