This is a basic but enjoyable metroidvania. This has the most story of any of the games in the series, perhaps to it's mild detriment.

Remedy doing what Sony and Microsoft can't seem to: provide a compelling argument that these new consoles allow things the old one didn't, while also making a great game with tons of memorable moments.

The only thing keeping this from being one of the best RPGs ever made is the shoddy localization.

Really great. Lacking in two specific areas. Firstly, why remove the fact that upgrading a gun's capacity topped off the ammo? That was a crucial part of the strategy and planning of an RE4 run. And secondly, the lack of fun things to unlock with the point system post-game was a bit upsetting. I was really hoping for things like the Attack/Defense coins in RE3 Remake, but nothing like that. A shame. Still a fantastic game though.

This game got my parents back together.

This game has 300 different ways to become strong in it, and is made almost entirely by one guy who is at least a little bit of a weird pervert. Basically: this is what true art is.

This game came out within two months of RE4 Remake lmao

A great GTA clone from a Pre-GTA4 Era. Then GTA4 came out and maybe wasn't so great. Saints Row was allowed to trundle along with mediocre title after mediocre title for fifteen years after this. Definitely worth checking out!

The respect system bogs this game down a lot, but everything else about it is very charming.

Sure, this game has less content than any other Saints Row game, has a terrible cast, a ramshackle and uninteresting story, terrible mechanics and ideas and a borderline non-functioning engine that doesn't even have 'driving' fully sorted out, but have you considered: It also cost 150 million to make?

This game is 40% Turret Sequence.

The flying mechanics are really great. This may be a budget package but everything about it is plenty solid - if they had made this a full scope SR game it probably would have done well.

A lot more solid than I remembered. While a lot of the character writing and humor is dated, it has more spirit than The Third, which felt like warmed over memes from 2009.

Absolute dog water. In the first 30 minutes of this game you see everything it has. Like opening a chip bag and finding nothing but air.
