A good experience with great presentation. The pacing is a bit wonky and many things have small issues, but it was an enjoyable experience.

Every single thing people say about this game is true. I didn't believe it either.

The 'classic' control method that lets you cancel out of your attacks makes a rather middling Souls-inspired game a lot more palatable. It does get long in the tooth later on when it brings back the Zelda-style puzzles from the first two games, though.

If you cut like two hours of the Land Of The Dead segment of the game it'd get another half star minimum. There's only so many times a man can be told to go get three plot coupons to advance before it strains on the mind.

A decent Zelda-like game with some God of War elements. The final act drags pretty bad with some incredibly not fun puzzles. Portal gun: Cool. Only using the portal gun for lame things: Not cool.

Laughably cynical and shallow. Life is Strange understood teenagers more meaningfully. Lame.

If I hadn't played this on the collection with sane checkpointing I'd have never beaten it, lmao

Come again no more, 7th Gen. Come Again no more.

Absolute dog water. In the first 30 minutes of this game you see everything it has. Like opening a chip bag and finding nothing but air.

A lot more solid than I remembered. While a lot of the character writing and humor is dated, it has more spirit than The Third, which felt like warmed over memes from 2009.

The flying mechanics are really great. This may be a budget package but everything about it is plenty solid - if they had made this a full scope SR game it probably would have done well.

This game is 40% Turret Sequence.

Sure, this game has less content than any other Saints Row game, has a terrible cast, a ramshackle and uninteresting story, terrible mechanics and ideas and a borderline non-functioning engine that doesn't even have 'driving' fully sorted out, but have you considered: It also cost 150 million to make?

The respect system bogs this game down a lot, but everything else about it is very charming.

A great GTA clone from a Pre-GTA4 Era. Then GTA4 came out and maybe wasn't so great. Saints Row was allowed to trundle along with mediocre title after mediocre title for fifteen years after this. Definitely worth checking out!
