I would humbly suggest Mecarobot Golf over the Japanese Serizawa Nobuo no Birdie Try for consideration on this list, though it could be argued that it's more of a success on the part of the localisation than the cover artist.

I was very surprised to see ICO and then the Disco Elysium skill check made me chuckle.

@mutyumu :P Interpreting failure as a good or interesting thing is one of the great things Disco Elysium did. And I also like this cover art failure of the ICO in the sense that it gives me a laugh lol.
