My favorite way of getting resources in the entire series. Touhou 11 is cool with rewarding you for playing well and all, but damn.. this game is peak.
somehow it feels the emptiest out of every single touhou game??? idk why. stages are barren, the way you get resources sucks, it's just.. a bleep in quality for the series.
a little bit on the harder side but it's still really good. no more power bombs tho..
it's like a soft reboot, but it's awesome regardless. i love being able to go to the point of collection line no matter the power, and power bombs.. so based.
One of the Touhou games of all time
before touhou 11 this was my favorite game because of the insane amount of stuff it has. last words, last spells, a new spell on the extra stage if you're doing extremely well, unlock the standalone playable characters after you beat the game with all the teams. like what??? it's so peak

i've played this game for hundreds of hours probably. got every single normal and hard 1cc, and an extra stage and phantasm stage clear.. lunatic Youmu haunts me.
Even though there's no hitbox in the game, it was the big boom in the series for a reason. Chances are, even if you aren't a touhou fan, you've seen most of the characters that originate from this game.
The single best PC-98 Touhou game. Has 4 different playable characters, a crazy memorable cast of characters, and one of the best extra stages in the series. Also soundtrack bangs.
