Which Assassin's Creed sucks the least ass
Rankings the mainline Assassin's Creed games and maybe others when I play them. Weird how much of a love hate relationship I have with most games in the franchise.
Of cource these are my personal opinions and so many suck equal amounts that it was hard to make a ranked list for me.

The clearest vision implemented with near perfect execution. Everything just works.
It's just AC2 with slightly better gameplay and smaller scope. These days, this would be a large expansion.
The story is uninteresting and side quests are meh but world design and combat is great.
Could have been perfect, ended up a mess. Still, the gameplay is my favorite in the franchise and city has incredible design.

There's a good game underneath the insane amount of bloat. The writing is not worse than average but it feels so much worse because how long it drags on. I'm not sure where I'd rank it until I finish it someday along with the dlcs.
Unity but more polished and better execution a lot of ideas. Alas they gutted the parkour, the melee combat. Plus the story/characters are so uninteresting.
Gameplay wise it's Black Flag but better designed in both quests and locations. The characters aren't half as good but I can't justify putting BF above given its myriads of problems.
Would have been better if this wasn't a AC game and could just be a fantasy RPG. I can't even rank it high as just a game cause how mind-numbing the exploration is and pointless the RPG systems are.

Decent conclusion to the Ezio trilogy but thoroughly half baked in everything, from story to gameplay.
Funny to see the best antagonist and the worst protagonist in the same game. The game just didn't have time to flesh out its mechanics which was improved or discarded in later games.
Interesting to see where it all started, the story still holds up too! But the gameplay drags to the point where it's not fun to play any more.
