Most of my memories of this are playing it on my dad's computer in his cubicle when he'd have to bring me along to work for whatever reason. For those purposes, it worked great!

pokemon go outside
pokemon go touch grass
pokemon go get hit by a car
pokemon go away
pokemon go to the polls (uch)
pokemon go home
pokemon go-go power rangers
pokemon g(l)o(ck)
pokemon (let it) go
i don't care

despite being part of the new super series , this one stands out the best and feels like it has more of an identity compared to the later lineups in this series . the main game itself felt a bit short for some reason , depending on how often you make stupid mistakes like i did forcing you to replay levels over and over you can finish it all relatively quickly , i was surprised at how short the levels actually were when they seemed so much longer as a kid , but they're still a good length and enjoyable to play even if you continuously fuck up
the mini games make this entry stand out a lot more and i've sunk countless hours into them over the past 10+ years with and without friends . unfortunately the yoshi balloon one never seemed to really work ? i've played on several different ds' and other games that use the mic work fine but no matter what i do the mic just doesn't appear to work at all for this mini game .
the mario vs luigi mode , while not one i play often , is ok for a little bit it's not as engaging as the main game or the mini games but for what it is i'm glad it's still a part of the package .
this is really the only new super game i come back to , perhaps mainly for nostalgia purposes , but it's a lot more memorable of an experience and feels more special than the later entries .

Welcome back, Mario! This game was always hyped because we had a new 2D Mario game ever since Super Mario Land 2. This game also came with great music and great use of the touch screen acting as an item storage and a way to navigate in lower levels of a stage. I have many memories of linking up with siblings to play the minigames or the rival fights for the stars. Please play this game. It's an excellent match to speedrun quickly or to link up with local friends.

The robotic operating buddy toy is in the game and you can drive a tank, which is somehow the most light and nimble vehicle in the game. Solid roster and tracks and snaking is pretty fun.

Marketed as an unreleased Nes game and I'm kinda glad it was. This game plays like a flash game and lacks coherent-level design and fun gameplay. This is absolutely playable but nothing remotely noteworthy is included.

Really fucking weird having witnessed this series turn into the marketing juggernaut it did honestly
and this game is almost ten years old ffs

people really shit on jumpscares, like, rightfully so
they can be cheap
they can be very poorly done more often than well done

but i think it actually works for this game because its amplified by you anticipating the AI movements, your ass glued to a chair with limited movement, hehehehehe its cool

never actually Beat the game though because i choke at the final night and get too scared....
EDIT: I DID IT!!!!!!!!! I DID IT FUCK YOU PAST JODIE BASTARD FUCK YOU I DID IT I DID IT AND ILOVE THIS GAME I LOVE IT YEAAAAAAAAH!

playing this game with sound on is a form of torture

It's a Yoshi game so you're getting a baseline of quality in the experience. However, the soundtrack really is as bad as everyone says, there are very few innovations since the first game, and the graphics at times come off looking somewhat cheap. Playing the game mostly made me just want to play the original.
