Glorious little late era PS2 game. A bit rough around the edges but it was so heartfelt in what it was. Combat was a liiiitle bit stiff but that story and that atmosphere.... ouuughhhh the use of fixed camera angles gives kamurocho such an awesome sense of scale and a ton of OOMPH that the other games dont have. Please start with this instead of Yakuza 0
The gameplay is way better than Yakuza 7. Probably the most fun ive had in the series. The game letting you move and basing mechanics on maximising damage depending on your angle is such a welcome change and makes everything feel so much more engaging.Though it is let down by the story sometimes feeling a bit rushed and long winded. Its one I defenitely need to replay at some point. Despite that this is peak way more often than its mid and is probably one of my favorite RGG games

Certainly way better than a lot of the shit thrown at it that reviewers gave it. Its simply misunderstood. Its mechanics are so cool and so different and out there, but just like Bayonetta 1 it bogs itself down with side stuff and also doesnt teach you the mechanics at all, nor does it really give you a reason to not spam, though I think giving the player the freedom to fuck around with a ginormous move pool is a good thing sometimes, Unless you're on infinite climax. Infinite climax mode is where this game goes INSANE and I love it for that.

Simply a splended game with excellent gameplay and art design. Some of the most fluid combat ive seen in a game but its non combat sections are sorely lacking and it doesnt bother to teach you a lot of mechanics. This game only clicked with me after I watched a youtube video on how its mechanics work
