Dark souls bosses reviewed very briefly

Nothing here!

Dark Souls
Dark Souls
Asylum demon : easy on replays but cool tutorial boss for a first playthrough

Taurus demon : ok but teaching the plunging attack is kinda redundant

Capra demon : don't listen to contrarians this boss sucks

Gargoyles : asylum demon 2.0, not as hard as they seem but good teaching tool about how to fight multiples

Gaping dragon : sick design, pretty dull otherwise and his charge having no tells is frustrating

Quelaag : big titties mommy milkers 11/10 goat boss I kneel, cool fight too

Sif : meh mechanically but great everywhere else

Iron golem : making him fall is funny but outside of that he kinda sucks

O&S : best boss in the game, many souls clones tried to copy the formula and all failed to this very day

Moonlight butterfly : probably not that bad as a mage but I'm not a hipster

4 kings : probably a nightmare as a mage but strength builds kinda shit on them

Stray demon : asylum demon with an explosion that has a broken hitbox

Firesage demon : fire stray demon

Ceaseless discharge : he's funny and that's it

Centipede demon : this guy is lucky to be in the same game as bed of chaos

Bed of chaos : fuck off

Seath : L+Ratio+u skinny+Midir better+you a fake duke+Gwyn dickrider

Priscilla : mommy milkers 2.0 but I needed your tail to make it a dakimakura

Gwyndolin : he's good if you like cardio, I don't

Pinwheel : cool mechanics but no one will see them

Nito : the fall damage is bullshit but he's one of the better versions of the boss that add minions archetype

Gwyn : the most iconic 3 notes of gaming, if you can parry you win
Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss
Dark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss
Sactuary guardian : this is a message from the DLC itself : welcome, our bosses will rampage your ass until you get good at dodging. They also put 2 if you come back just to tell you this thing is just a very agressive ad

Artorias : I can't make a joke this is a pure 1v1 fight in all the right ways

Kalameet : this fight is very good but significantly worse if you try to cut his tail

Manus : a DS3 boss put in DS1, I wish I could like him more but his magic is too annoying if you don't have the silver pendant (i.e if you don't play with a guide). Still a very good boss
Dark Souls II
Dark Souls II
Last Giant : boring

Pursuer : cool first fight but his health doesn't scale with your weapon upgrades so he's super easy later on

Dragonrider : making him fall off is funny but he's just a normal enemy with a health bar

Old dragonslayer : Ornstein fell off fr fr fr

Flexile sentry : he's cool, mace side is piss easy

Ruin sentinels : decent, fuck the spin attack tho

Gargoyles : what if they were 5 ?

Lost sinner : she's ok, you can't go wrong with human sized bosses

Executionner's chariot : cool concept, boring boss

Skeleton Lords : better than what people say, cleaving through tons of enemies is fun even if this goes against the dark souls formula, ost slaps too

covetous demon : they put a heckin chonker redditors finally made it into the Dark Souls series

Mytha : Pretty meh without the poison, impossible with

Royal rat vanguard : This is just an average day in Paris

Royal rat authority : fuck you

Rotten : cool design, ok boss

Najka : 10/10 for goth titties but unlike Quelaag she's not a good fight

Prowling Magus : the typical Dark Souls II boss : cool idea, terrible execution

Duke Dear Freya : Kinda bland

Smelter demon : his attacks are cool but his hitboxes are broken

Old Iron King : the hole in the arena is harder than him

Looking glass : didn't age well like all pvp bosses but he's still really cool

Demon of song : carried by his visuals

Veldstadt : really good

Guardian dragon : how do you make fighting a dragon boring

Ancient dragon : how do you make fighting a giant dragon boring ?????

Darklurker : very good boss with the most asinine requirements to even fight them

Giant lord : boring

Vendrick : cooler than Gwyn thematically, way worse mechanically

dragonrider x2 : reskin and still piss-easy

Throne watcher : what if ornstein and smough were mid and dumb

Nashandra : not enough titties and she's ugly, the fight sucks too

Aldia : cool concept, bad execution, SOTFS just wanted to reinforce the logic for this game
Dark Souls II: Crown of the Sunken King
Dark Souls II: Crown of the Sunken King
Elana : best boss so far if she summons Veldstadt, just good with the skeletons

Sinh : finally a good dragon boss

Gank squad : fuck off
Dark Souls II: Crown of the Old Iron King
Dark Souls II: Crown of the Old Iron King
Smelter demon : what if he was blue and had a shittier runback

Fume knight : overrated but still great

Sir Alonne : Best DS2 boss unless he does DS2 hitboxes things, you all know about the runback
Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory King
Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory King
Ava : alright

Lud and Zallen : the guillotine should be brought back for whoever made the frigid outskirts

Ivory King : it's just ok mechanically but the concept is so cool
Dark Souls III
Dark Souls III
Ludex Gundyr : the best tutorial boss, second phase kinda sucks tho

Vordt : he's not that bad mechanically, he's a cool boss

Greatwood : too passive to be interesting really and I swear he has some weird hitboxes

Crystal Sage : boring

Deacons : Skeleton Lords but way cooler, still easy outside of gimmicky shit like crossbow only runs

Abyss Watchers : super cool fight, thanks 3rd Abyss Watcher you're the goat

Old Demon King : Interesting attacks, cool boss but maybe should be in an earlier area

Wolnir : worst boss in the game despite how cool he looks, shame !

Pontiff : super cool boss, probably easier if I could parry but I'm bad

Champion Gundyr : DEFINITELY easier if I could parry but he's still an amazing boss and I definitely came out of this fight a better player

Yhorm : Wolnir but harder, doing it with Onion Bro and 2 storm rulers is still kino

Aldrich : dull and boring

Ancient Wyvern : bad gauntlet and shit ennemies, you're better off running away from all that and just do the plunge attack hoping it doesn't bug

Nameless King : fuck the phase 1 camera, phase 2 is probably the best boss in the series tho

Dancer : Humanoids once again being the best type of fights

Dragonslayer armour : would be one of the best fights in DS1 or 2 but here it's just not as good as the rest but it says more about the rest.

Oceiros : all bark no bite

Princes : probably the best ost in the series so far, the boss is also really good

Soul of cinder : It was the best way to end the series then Gael came and was even better than this already great boss
Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel
Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel
Champion gravetender : NPC bosses are bad and adding wolves and diet Sif doesn't make them better

Friede : I'm conflicted because this is a very good boss but the invisibility on phase 3 doesn't match with that loud music. She's also a tad too agressive for my taste, maybe a lighter build works better but it's tricky to land a single hit. Still great but I don't think she's as good as Sulyvahn or Gael
Dark Souls III: The Ringed City
Dark Souls III: The Ringed City
Demon prince : kino raw GOAT swag best demon boss in the series and best multiple outside of O&S

Midir : fuck his laser, tough as shit but more due to stats than mechanics. This is a mix of Ancient dragon, Kalameet and Sinh in all the right ways

Halflight : booooooring

Gael : I actually thought Vergil wasn't my favourite boss anymore, he's that good. Best souls boss I would buy a game where you do nothing but fight him.
