This game made me a Metroid fan.

I'm glad Copen got his own game. Has some small flaws, but easily my favorite Gunvolt game, absolutely adore it.

I expected more from all of the praises being sung. Definitely not bad by any means though, a nice little meditative experience.

This gameplay style had so much potential, I wish they had stuck with it. The last couple worlds are a true drag though, and it doesn't hit its high points often enough to consider it good.

Another Switch exclusive that could use a sequel. It's pretty fun overall, but peters out a bit in the end, and the story gets a little silly.

2017

A really solid foundation that I hope Nintendo chooses to build on in the future. It's just a little lacking in modes and could use the quality pass/additions of a sequel.

Takes the foundation of OG NieR and does something new yet familiar with it. I still like the original more, but it's impressive that they made something just as good in this!

I was expecting the worst from all the hubbub around this port, but at least on PS4 I found it to be mostly competent, and I actually enjoyed the game a lot more than my first go-around on the Wii! I think perfect homing attacks were a great addition and make this game significantly more fun, though it does have some issues like low res prerendered cutscenes.

A near immaculate remake. Nothing really to complain about here. The rerecorded dialogue somehow matches (and in some cases, beats) the old, the combat system is both familiar and different in the best ways, the visuals are great, the rerecorded music feels more tailored to the gameplay, the new bits are fun without feeling intrusive to the existing game... An excellent game somehow made even better.

I think this game could be special once it leaves Early Access, but for now it's just a tad too unpolished for me to comfortably give it that. It has its highs, like when you're simply exploring the open ocean with your pals, but especially toward the current endgame, we encountered some frustrating issues like losing endgame materials for no reason and bugs with structure stability. I also feel that some of the materials really need some semblance of automation personally. I hope this game gets the glowup it deserves as time goes on!

Deltarune Chapter 2 will constantly charm, endear, and surprise you, and it is endlessly valuable for that. I have a couple small nitpicks, but the pure joy I experienced playing this overrides any negative feelings I may have had for this overall bigger and better chapter.

This game's presentation is absolutely immaculate, the dub is great with far fewer errors than its Naruto "predecessors", and it feels like CyberConnect 2 is finally inching ever closer to making a decently balanced arena fighter. Unfortunately the game taking the chapter-by-chapter Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 format and half the story being told in anime screenshots hurts it quite a bit for me, among other things. I had fun with it, but I'd like to see them do some more interesting things with these adaptations in the future.
