A list of adventure games released during the period the community generally refers to the genre being dead, 1999-2007. 1999 was chosen since it was declared on Old Man Murray in 2000 that this is when the genre killed itself and 2007 is when Telltale started releasing Sam & Max episodes. This is mostly focused on graphic adventures and not text adventures, which had its own active community. It is mostly focused on notable games and adventure games I remember the community talking about, and does not include every single game. It's also missing some of the freeware games that were a major part of the scene during this era since Backloggd does not have them at the moment.
