Ok so where is the "good story" that everyone kept telling me about in this linear and boring ass game? Gameplay is uninteresting as hell which made me wish BioShock 1 and 2 gameplay made a return which is funny because I don't even like the way those games play.

As for the story, hella convoluted, doesn't save the game in the slightest when it usually would. It tries to get a message out and fails miserably. I do not think Ken Levine is capable of telling a good story and I can confidently say I am afraid of JUDAS.

SwSh are games with a lot of flash and little substance. I played Shield concurrently with a replay of Soulsilver, and it made how little there actually is to do in Galar glaringly obvious. Complete a gym, do a rival battle, run to the next gym, do another rival battle, and repeat almost without rest all the way to the Champion battle. What happened to quaint side locations like Sprout Tower or the game corner or even a department store?

It was nice to look at while I played it, but the story was thin, the characters got little depth (outside of Bede), and the gameplay loop got boring early on and never really mixed it up. I can't really recommend it for more than the visual experience of First Pokémon Entry On The Switch -- and Centiskorch, I guess!

This has been a dream game of mine for so long and while it doesn't follow the story as accurately as I wanted it to, it's still really good on it's own and actually made the story more interesting and compelling not knowing if they will or won't when it comes to certain plot points. It's really cool seeing a lot of locations from the original game here and fleshed out. The amount of work and detail put into every tiny little corner of this world is astounding and never found myself getting bored even during the side quests. Lots of funny mandatory mini-games all throughout as well and more competently playable this time. This is definitely my game of the year, I still prefer the original FF7 but Rebirth is no doubt a huge step up from Remake in every conceivable way.
