Ever since beating this game, I have never come across another that can shock me to the point of loving it

Horrible people behind making this game who mocked trans suicide rates and the like.
Also just a very mediocre game.
Just play temtem.

turns out the best way to up the sales of your generic mid uwu RPG is to just say some insanely bigoted bullshit

For the love of God, play Mary Skelter 2 before you play the Mary skelter remake. I beg you. Please. I am on my knees. It bothers my OCD too but it's the way it's intended to be played, so please, IM BEGGI

Honestly was not expecting to like this game as much as I liked 2!

But anyway PLAY 2 BEFORE PLAYING THIS

I could see the devs trying to be innovative with this side scroller. It was terrible.

Had this at a 3.5 at first, but after playing some of the later chapters for each character I had to lower this to a 3 star.

Runs become unbelievably RNG-heavy to the point where some runs die in the first 2 levels because of quality difference in die rolls, and later floors often turn into a rage-inducing slog as you watch the enemy roll multiples freezes, blinds, shocks, poison, curses and what not multiple times in a row with one fight with bad RNG potentially, if not probably, dooming the entire run.

The game wants you to build for every encounter but then almost never actually gives you the tools to do so. There are some good idea's here and there is fun to be had in the earlier levels, but a game in which you lose an entire run because of 1 fight with bad RNG just kills my drive to play it after a while.

Oh man DON'T YOU LOVE DYING AND BEING FORCED TO START FROM THE BEGGINING OF THE LEVEL?
I sure do!
Literally MegaMan 3 if it was garbage

Keep an eye out for the window with the broken curtain rod.
You're welcome.

It started off good, but the game was a solid 3 hours longer than it really needed to be. And for a 7 hour game... that's a bit of an issue. The ending isn't enough to compensate either as it neither connects earlier events in an interesting way or forces anything to be recontextualized. There's charm here, but charm only gets you so far when the rest of the game isn't enough to hold up on its own.

A glorified minigame that was sold at full price on DS launch.

Cultural artifact.

F Blasfemous.

Perfectly fine hour long artsy game. The puzzles are well-designed, if a bit too much color wheel based towards the end. The plot is nonsense but the visuals and spectacle is quite nice. Would love for it to not crash before the final scene but it’s not that big a loss

A revolutionary game that spawned the entire character action genre. Hard to go back to after playing any other entry in the series, but there's still some fun to be found here.

Also Dante seems like he wants to fuck his mom which is kinda weird
