The entire presentation of this game is over the top and badass all through out. Casually skimming through blades of choppers and swords sets the tone for this amazing spin off title. The music is one of the greatest in gaming history with its unapologetic-ally loud and blood pumping vocals and guitar shreds as you fight each boss. This game follows a Mega Man formula that works amazingly as we plow through a gang of terrorists each with their varying backgrounds and ideologies. The story is one that fascinates me to this very day, especially as this marks the end of the Metal Gear saga. The gameplay is one of Platinum Games' best works with satisfying swordsplay and stylish finishers that keeps players hooked. Amazing time all through out!

The story for this game needs very little to explain. Easily one of the greatest narratives in history, I would proclaim. On the gameplay side of things, all the system mechanics are simple but the challenge comes from the implementation of all of them as well as how well you digest each struts layouts, allowing for satisfying gameplay to learn and master.

Still keeps the fantastic gameplay of the first but actually gives fair and fun challenges without sacrificing player sanity. Story was a nice expansion on the first games established lore and even is implied to lead to the events of the first game in the post credits which was nice to see. Soundtrack was great and the setting is much more colorful and bright than the first games. Overall this is the textbook example of a great sequel.
