Quite possibly the great game I’ve ever played. Gameplay is fun as always but the story rivals that of the best movies. Truly a masterpiece.

This game has been a legendary game in my memories. I have always fondly considered Paper Mario to be one of my favorite games, so I was ecstatic to see this available to play on the Nintendo Switch.

What I realized while playing was that, like many games as a kid, I had never actually beaten the game! But that’s exactly what I did these past couple of weeks and it has all lived up to my nostalgia hype.

What a delightful game. This has to be one of, if not, THE greatest Mario stories ever told. The typical Mario games are fun, but they’re just platformers. This game has so much rich characterization and it’s SO funny. I adored every single moment of playing this game. Even the credits and wonderful. Truly a perfect game. Now to find a way to play Thousand Year Door so I can finish that one as well.

Although I had a lot of gameplay issues and glitches while playing, they didn’t detract from one of the best stories I’ve experienced in a video game.

The greatest Spider-Man adaptation ever told.

I don’t care if the fanbase is cringey or childish. I don’t play games for the fanbase! Fortnite is one of the most interesting games I’ve played. FN Save the World is a great survival/defense game, but FN Battle Royale changed gaming culture. It is one of the catalyst games like Minecraft or World of Warcraft. Games that people will remember and can mark a paradigm shift in the battle royale genre. It was not the first game to do battle royale, but it spread it like wildfire.

The thing that’s REALLY interesting to me, though, is how Fortnite evolves. Every chapter introduces new game mechanics, overhauls the map, and furthers a ridiculously complex storyline that you barely even notice unless you seek it out.

Fortnite’s storyline is incredibly entertaining, and it’s the easiest game for me to pick up and start playing.

One of the first games I ever played fully to completion. I had never been so immersed in a game’s story before and I fell in love with it. The humor, the mind-bending puzzles, the “danger”. It was amazing.

Although I have thoughts on Bedrock version and other decisions made post Microsoft acquisition, Minecraft is still one of the greatest games ever made.

Back in the early years of Minecraft, people could create the most amazing things with the Java version of the game. The customization and modification that could be made to completely overhaul the game was un-paralleled, except to maybe Garry’s Mod.

Sometimes I feel like I miss when Minecraft was “simpler” but I don’t think that’s the case. I just miss coming home from school and sitting down to play on a private server with a small group of friends. There’s something so nostalgic about that time of my life.

This game is one of a handful of perfect games. The storytelling, visual set-dressing, and gameplay are some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Love it.
