Every FPS should play like this. But even if every FPS played like this, this would still be the best FPS.

Titanfall 2 honestly has the most hype campaign I've ever played. Relatively short and fast-paced, but the devs made sure that every second counted.

Only real complaint you can have was the lack of single player. Which at the time of release I was fine with since I was tired of COD style campaigns (Obviously if I knew how good Titanfall 2's campaign would be, I would have complained).

Needless to say this games movement is nuts, it's super fluid and fun. Wall Jump and Double jumping just adds so much depth to combat it's unreal. Of course the shooting is fantastic as well. The mech combat also adds interesting variety especially since it changes how you move around but makes you so much stronger. Also I really enjoy the AI grunts in the game since it helps with making sure there's constant action and it always feels like your contributing to the objective, or at least helps get your mech out faster.

While I prefer the sequel the first one will always have a place in my heart.

A first draft of a game, really feels dated now thanks to the sequel just making it obsolete but was truly great at the time, if only you could still play it

Only needed a real campaign

I was so excited following its release, as I loved the first one, but unfortunately, GR2 fell short of my expectations. While I think there's fun to be had in this game, I couldn't help but feel so bored throughout the majority of my playtime. Many levels felt like filler, as it seemed like the developers were trying to prolong the game and as a result, created a very repetitive gameplay loop. Also, the optimization on PC is fucking DOGSHIT; near the final 2–3 hours of the game, where it shifts to a more open-world-esque game, the frame drops are atrocious.

I appreciate the effort in attempting to make this more narrative-driven with its hub space, though unfortunately, the shallow dialogue and Its monotonousness took me out of it. I couldn't care less for anyone there, maybe aside from the returning characters, but even they were okay-ish at best. Negatives aside, the introduction to unlocking your bike was pretty cool; shout-out to that part of the game. If you're a fan of the first GR, there's a chance you'll like this game, though I wish that were the case for me. I truly hope I come around to this game in the future but as of now, this is generally how I feel.

Even after increasing the brightness, the game is a bit too dark for my poor eyesight. I might pick it up again someday.

I really didn't enjoy this at all. I've become a big fan of Frictional Games as they have become my exception when it comes to playing horror titles with no combat. I have never been a fan of run, hide or die horror games but Frictional have always intrigued me with the atmosphere's of their games and their storytelling.

To start with the good, this game brings back the inventory and resource management that was absent in both A Machine for Pigs by The Chinese Room but also in Soma by Frictional. I love the return of these mechanics and it keeps the game from just being a walking simulator with spooky monsters. The resource management I felt was a bit more tougher then The Dark Descent, as matches and lanterns seem to run out a lot quicker, which I think is good and bad. It can definitely get annoying when your light source runs out so quickly and there were sections where I ran out, and I had to walk around in endless darkness.

And in terms of accessibility the game does add in an adventure mode similar to Soma's safe mode, so you can play the game without worrying about death if you want to. I like this mode and its cool that its there for players who want it.

However I honestly struggled to get through this game and I eventually just decided to abandon it. The story was just really boring and I didn't really find the main character that interesting. The areas were mostly unappealing to me aside for a few. And compared to Dark Descents Brennenburg Castle, or Pathos-II in Soma, it just really felt dull. I still love Frictional games but to me this is my least favorite game from them.

Atmospherically and scenically really good horror game but the story doesn't make any sense at all and it's once again the clichéd, unlucky protagonist.
