While I can appreciate the novelty they presented at the time, in a modern context the Uncharted trilogy is a pretty tiresome set of lackluster third person shooters that don't offer much in the way of mechanics or setpieces that hasn't been outdone elsewhere.

An excellent twist on the classic Tetris formula, Tetris Effect's delightful synesthesia is absolutely worth experiencing.

Sonic Mania Plus comes highly recommended to fans of 2D platformers and especially of the classic Sonic games. It pays ample respect to the greats while expanding on them beautifully, and I'd love to see more from these developers.

A gorgeously animated and gratuitously satisfying 2D fighting game which sets the gold standard for indies in the genre, due in no small part to its excellent rollback netcode via GGPO.

Nothing particularly special here. Some of the characters are charming, though of course your mileage will vary, and the mechanics are competent enough, but it doesn't have that spark of brilliance to raise it above its contemporaries.

A pretty competent waveracer, but ultimately fairly bland and with some awkward trick mechanics which prove necessary to win many of the later races.

Resident Evil 6 has a wonderful set of mechanics, but unfortunately it falls short when it comes to level and enemy design, and the story's presentation just doesn't carry the same charm as previous entries. Mercenaries is great fun, but the campaigns are a slog.

Another excellent remake of a classic Resident Evil game, delivering a potent blend of horror and action with pitch perfect pacing.

After the excellent Resident Evil VII, Capcom is keeping the gas pedal held down on this series with a fantastic remake of the PS1 classic. Resident Evil 2 doles out spooks and catharsis with expert precision, keeping you hooked to the very end.

A fun diversion, but not up to the level of Championship Edition DX. Maybe next time, guys.

After more than a decade trapped in the weeds, Kingdom Hearts III manages to pull the franchise's mechanics and story together into a cohesive and fun experience which capitalizes well on what came before and manages to salvage some of what was stuck in the mud.

Kingdom Hearts 1 is a pretty good game, I'm not really fond of anything else in this package. Worth noting that this is the best way to play most of these games, though.

One of SNK's best in terms of both animation and sheer competitive fun, Garou gets a wonderful port to modern systems featuring rollback netcode. Highly recommended.

An excellent fighting game with gorgeous animation, highly recommended for Dragon Ball fans or anyone in the market for a solid anime fighter

This is a video game-ass video game. The campaign is a nonstop rush of demon slaughter and resource management, occasionally undercut by less than stellar boss fights but nonetheless a great time for any fan of first person shooters.
