Love the soundtrack and graphics. Writing is good although the banter gets old but overall the story is excellent. Core gameplay is average but tolerable, nothing special.

Challenging but doable thanks to the NSO rewind feature.

Wish I played this 20 years ago, controls felt dated and the gameplay was unintuitive at times. Needed to check online guides too many times. Overall absolutely loved the mood, music, tone, characters, this game would probably have been my personality as a teen.

Beautiful art direction, great music but controls felt unresponsive. Wish they didn’t force you to replay the game at least 4 times to play all the levels, I know I missed some levels but honestly didn’t enjoy the game enough to search for every secret.

Somehow this is one of my most played games despite not being my favorite.

The greatest RPG I’ve ever played. Great puzzles, story, and the battle system is one of a kind.

The video game equivalent of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Huge shoes to fill but unfortunately this hugely anticipated game falls short. Way too much dialogue, but it’s still Golden Sun so can you really hate it?

Wonderful puzzles and battle system. Sets the stage for the greatest RPG of all time.

Felt like a major letdown after Epic Yarn.

Simple gameplay paired with whimsical art direction.

It’s hard improving on perfection especially for a game known for precise controls. Unfortunately things feels slightly off in this remake. Excellent level design, very exciting to see a new generation discover the gameplay popularized by Marble Madness. Would have given it 4.5/5 but the Monkey Target minigame is broken and the cinematics are nonexistent in this remake.
