I'm probably going to be in the minority and say that this may be the best version of Persona 3 you can play. The party members are much more fleshed out, the turn-based combat system is much better here and all the social links are voiced. The 2 things that are missing are FEMC (which I don't really care for tbh) and The Answer. This brings me to the 1 glaring problem with this game the outrageous DLC policy where they sell you a 70$ game and try to sell you a 30$ DLC for the complete experience IN A REMAKE.

Boltgun is mostly a boomer shooter with not much of a substance but I think the fantasy of being a Space Marine being done so well with guns ripping through people and you walking like you weight one ton it nearly makes up for it. The main gripe I have with the game is that there is nothing new happening after halfway point of the game, you just kill the same stuff over and over. Another small problem I had with the game is that it desperately needs a map or some sort of a pointer because a lot of the time it's not clear where you should go.

Overall it's a decent boomer shooter that should have been shorter. I would only recommend it to fans of 40k setting as it masks some of the problems, at least for a while.

While the game is the shortest Yakuza/LaD game ever made it still has the charms of the previous games with it's wacky substories, minigames and a gripping story.

The story in my opinion is very good with its very charming cast of characters, Kiryu especially is exceptionally written. While I loved the last 2 chapters the fact that the first 3 chapters being basically padding at best still bothers me. Still I think last 2 chapters has some of the best story moments in a Yakuza game. The fight against the final boss was excellent and the motivations of said boss were great and very fitting for the games theme but I have a issue with his power level. And yes I cried during the final scene.

Combat wise sadly this is one of the weaker games in the series. I dont know how RGG went from Lost Judgment's fluid combat to this clunky combat system. Also the super armor of enemies doesn't help.

Overall I think the game is definitely worth playing if you are into LaD but 50$ is a tad expensive for it's length and scope.
