really cute western romance VN, fun and pleasant presentation - not too special but doesn't make you go "this is any other ren'py ever"; the slight usage of frames in a few CGs adds a nice touch and is used rarely and tastefully. characters are compelling, intriguing and loveable (the MC less so but the surrounding cast are delightful!).
The lore is interesting and does right how urban fantasy should feel, even if not masterfully so - and it makes you want to dive deep into it;
the character designs are fun, eyecatching, but not overcrowded with details, and I love the artstyle - which is not anime-esque for the most part but not desperately trying to escape nor imitate it unlike a lot of western-VNs; also the erotica is actually written well!

I really look forward to the next installment.

currently playing Raidant Dawn which is the sequel. but Man these two games are genuinely something special that capture a really unique vibe and atmosphere. I'm not the biggest fan of how slow the game is but I still really enjoyed it for what it is. i don't mind simple easy fire emblem but this game got a pretty engaging story and it has some p unique characters. This is a great game

BUY THE VERSION ON GOG

Hades

This game is flat out trash. Color Splash has some real heart and charm to it, but this? Gameplay is a farce, and all personality vanishes from the game after the first few minutes. It's extremely hard for me to find anything redeeming here.

This was my first FE, so it's hard not to be a little biased, but I think this game has one of the best rosters of characters. It also has a stronger story than most FE games. It's on the easier side, especially if you capitalize on your newfound ability to grind. Honestly, I think that's perfectly fine. It's nowhere near as easy to break as Awakening, and I personally don't think that every FE game has to be hard as diamonds.
