January/February/March 2024 Slate

Just the games I'm trying to play this quarter (after Valkyria Chronicles). I'll mainly pull from my friends' suggestions list and Shrink-the-Log Challenge 2024, plus however many popular games I've missed or skipped. After that, I'll continue tackling anything that gets me from one era and/or platform to another, with preference towards anything J-PC related. There's also this funky little Backloggd Bingo thing I've heard about and will make a list for soon.

Hell yes, Metal Gear 2. Thought that game ruled when I first played it, replayed it in November and guess what? Still rules.

It's basically That Obnoxiously Important MSX Game I Need to Play, so I'm hoping it delivers. Shame I gotta try Jill of the Jungle afterward, though I hear those are okay.

Metroid Fusion was my first metroid so definitely have a soft spot! I know some people don't like that it's less open ended but I still think it has some of the best bosses in the series.

The last time I tried Metroid Fusion was way back in the mid-oughts while I was in middle school and mainly playing DS games. It'll be a bit of a memory trip to do it fresh; I might get through the NES original beforehand too.
