Expertly combines grand strategy with storytelling in a way I hadn't seen before. I've played Nobunaga's Ambition since and still think Rance was better.

Played Stranger only, quite good drpging.

Love the class system. Game wore kind of thin by the end though, a lot of filler.

My first FF, I enjoyed it but don't remember too much.

Fantastic on every level, started my fetish for multi classing/class switching in games.

Pretty different while also still feeling similar. I liked the level caps.

Played on the Vita. Love the world, aesthetic, characters, and tactical combat. Wish the balancing was a bit better.

Beautiful visual designs with high stress resource management, exactly my cup of tea.

Very stressful game, but I loved it. Played it while home with a bad flu during university, super immersive.

Essentially the game I imagined when I got my first companion in Morrowind as a kid. Fighting in real time but having an entire army to manage and siege towns with, it's great.

2007

I played Elona Plus and have no idea how close it is to this game, but it isn't on bagloggd so here we go.

One of a kind. I played it in high school while telling my teachers I was programming.

Enjoyed a single playthrough at release. Tried to come back multiple times since then but enjoyed installing mods more than actually playing the game in most cases.

Still my childhood, but not as much as Morrowind. Spent countless hours in this world and ended up appreciating Morrowind even more.

My childhood. Most engrossing world in gaming. Never read this many books in-game before.
