The game itself it's not as good as the predecessor, but the final plot twist it's way better, IMO (and the man of medan's plot was already pretty good and interesting).

As a Dark Souls 1 fan (it's my favorite game) and as a Dark Souls II ex-hater (as some of the Souls community was once until they played that damn game), I love every part of this game. The initial areas are better in DS1, I guess... But, all the other aspects are superior. All the systems and game design experiments make the experience unique (far different from DSIII xp, the game basically try to imitate Dark Souls 1 at all cost). That game is undoubtedly the best Dark Souls. Now it's time for the DLCs.
