I found this game to be very good, while the story may not be that complex I found it's focus on futuristic technological concepts, nuclear weaponry and the nature of genetics to be pretty interesting. What I didn't enjoy was the sniper Wolf fights (I'm also not very good at them) and that one bit where you climbing up this very tall tower with all the genome soldiers. The boss fights all had unique aspects to them and were generally pretty creative and the music was great and added a lot of atmosphere to the game, and the art style was excellent. The characters get a decent amount of development and the cutscenes are very innovative for the time this game was made. Overall this game has some jank but what it accomplished is nothing short of an achievement and whatever flaws it may have are made up for by the masterful attention to detail.

1993

A Masterpiece in the First Person Shooter genre, Wolfenstein may have been it's grandfather but doom is the true father of the genre. It's eerie, it's violent, it's very good fun. Obviously nowadays map makers could make WADs ten times more coherent than this so keep in mind when playing this for the first time that there are parts of this game that can be confusing aspects of the level design can be maze like at points but overall it's understandable 90% of the time. In terms of episodes I'd say the first and second are best and the third is the weakest while the levels aren't awful and there is still good fun to be had but episode one and two feel much tighter. (I also think the amount of hurt floors towards the final few maps of the third episode are a bit much) Really the only map I outright disliked was Slough Of Despair it's not my favorite but overall this game is great Absolute classic.

Easily my favorite racing game series ever if you are looking for a hovercraft based racing game look no further, I can without a doubt say this is it. And the only reason Im not giving this a full five stars is because Wipeout XL just has more nostalgia value to me.

One of the best tactical fps games I've ever played, lots of choices, very fun abilities and just enough vulnerablility to make each fight challenging. Graphics of course are excellent but the story is kind of disinteresting and every mission after the death of Kyong is a serious departure from that excellent set of missions before Kyong's death. Overall an absolute classic and I highly recommend it if you enjoy tactical fps games just be prepared for a change in gameplay at the later portion of this game.

This is an excellent introduction to this series with strong varied combat between two protagonists that creates an excellent and engaging experience. The music is great with intense electronic and guitar tracks (favorites include Pledge Of Demon, Oath Of Enma, Red Radical Rage, Two Dragons, T U S K, and of course Friday Night). The presentation is great detailed but small environments brought to life by a plethora of interesting substories, friends and of course the Cabaret club and Real Estate minigames. And the most important thing in this game The Talking heads, the characters nearly every single main character in this game is interesting and well portrayed. Play this game!
